Frontiers Cafe

The Idea: Great ideas rarely happen in formal lectures - they happen when curious minds sit down together over a cup of coffee to talk about the future.

Frontier Café is an initiative by the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Cell (EIC) at IISER Pune. It’s our weekly designated space for open, unfiltered conversations about the wild ideas, emerging technologies, and scientific breakthroughs that are actively shaping our world. We created this space to break down the barriers to complex, deep-tech topics and make them accessible to everyone.

No rigid lectures. No complex prerequisites. No pressure.

Whether we are unpacking the architecture behind modern AI or discussing the next big leap in space exploration, the format is simple: grab a cup of coffee, pull up a chair, and join the room. We want to bring together BS-MS students, PhD scholars, and thinkers from all disciplines to just talk, debate, and explore.

What to Expect

• Weekly Deep Dives: Every week, we pick a new "frontier" to unpack together.

• Student-Led Discussions: Hosted by passionate peers who love the topic.

• Zero Intimidation: You don’t need to be an expert to attend. Bring your questions, or just come to listen and learn.
